Volunteer Firefighter

Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department is seeking highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated community members to join our team.  Come, make a difference in your community!   You must meet the following requirements:

– Be in general good health (Operational Members Only)

– Be 18 years of age (16 years of age for junior firefighters)

– Enrolled in High School or a High School Graduate (GED is acceptable)

– Able to read and write the English language

– Must reside within the 29702 zip code to become an active member

– If over 18, possess a driver’s license which is valid in South Carolina and an excellent driving record
